Mission Statement

Becoming Disciples to Make Disciples

Values

As disciples…

We let our lives be shaped by the Bible first

We believe that in the Bible we encounter God, learn what he has done for us and what it means to follow him, therefore the Bible is at the heart of all that we do. We study, meditate on, and grow in a knowledge of God that leads us to a scripturally integrated
life.
(2 Timothy 3:16, Hebrews 4:12, 1 Timothy 4:13, James 1:22-25, Colossians 3:14)

We are not satisfied with good enough

We believe in continual development both in our personal faith and in the life of his church. Jesus doesn’t call us to stay as we are, he calls us to be transformed. We continually evaluate our lives and ministries and look for ways that, in faith, we can grow & take the next step.
(Romans 12:2, 2 Corinthians 5:17, 2 Corinthians 3:18)

We make relationships a priority

We believe that authentic community is as much spiritual as it is social. We love each other as we are, not as we should be. We seek to build relationships among all ages and be quick to pray with, care for, and encourage one another as we grow more mature in Christ.
(Ephesians 4:1-15, Hebrews 10:24-25, Ecclesiastes 4:9-12, Galatians 6:1-2)

We honor God in everything

We believe as God’s people everything we do matters to God. We live with integrity and strive for excellence in all we do in order to honor God and his church.
(Romans 12:1, Colossians 3:17)

We are spiritual contributors rather than spiritual consumers

We believe that following Jesus Christ leads us to serve. The Holy Spirit has given each person gifts to be used to build up the Church. We identify and use our gifts to serve one another and our community.
(Mark 9:35, James 2:18-26, Matthew 25:35-40, John 13:34-35)

We live as sent people, reaching our community and world for Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the hope of the world and the only way to true life. We will not be silent with this truth. We cultivate a culture that longs for others to know Jesus and propels us out of comfort zones and into the world.
(Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 1:17 Acts 1:8, 2 Timothy 4:2, 2 Corinthians 5:20)
